Im going to keep the message out of this...mostly

Without considering the pretty obvious push to believe in God (I do believe in God, but I think that talking about burning in hell is not a way to convert people or a positive message in general, which shouldnt all messages of God be positive? Look to Jesus and you should know that he only wants peace and would never threaten hell upon someone, only offer eternal salvation)

Anyways, the animation is great! You need to brush up on your anatomy, though, as many of the angles seemed very flat and that takes away quite a bit from the overal experience you are trying to go for. The voicing is good, but the very beginning he kind of sounds like he has a lisp. Next time dont be afraid to re-record bits to fix issues like that.

You have some great music going, and you kept a very consistent mood about everything. The radical mood-change at the end, which I think was very well executed, helped cast a more compassionate side to the character and definitely created a multi-faceted personality to the speaker.

10/10 ONLY for the animation itself, I dont judge based on message. (And neither should anyone else! Opinions are opinions and its not like we dont see controversial things on Newgrounds!)

Hell is the truth and shouldn't be avoided but yeah the message of God is positive. The darker the night the brighter the stars shine.

Thanks, I will ;)

Music wasn't mine, all credits go to KillTheTrucker for that

And Thank you for reviewing :D

hmm...

...you do realize it sounded like he raped the child right? Anyways, the animation was good, though I think you could have put a bit more effort into smoothing the animation, the character seemed squished in a few angles. Perhaps using a smaller brush size would be good as well.

For the plot, maybe you should have shown him become the boogeyman by maybe being caught hiding in the closet by the child and...smothering him to keep the mom from hearing, accidentally killing the child and definitively making him the boogeyman.

JonHunter responds:

Then you're not going to like the truth of it.. This idea hatched when a Halloween collab failed, in that collab I picked the Boogeyman because I thought it would be fun to mock the fact that he tickles naughty children.

In this case, this Australian Crocodile Hunter finds himself to be The Boogeyman. So my idea was a bit too hard to animate you see, I couldn't really have him do that stuff on stage now could I?
I should however have rewritten, now that I think of it, I did make this more complicated than it needed to be. Your idea about having the kid accidentaly killed is simple but fun.

I'll keep what you said in mind, helpful indeed.

Fun series!

Love the style of this series, pretty true to the minecraft game. I hope the later parts are longer though, these first two are pretty short.

Falconer02 responds:

It's difficult to animate 10-20 minute long segments because I'm the only one actually animating it. I would if I could though! Later episodes will be a tab bit longer too. I'm happy you enjoyed it though!

I am 19 and I am in the US Navy. When I'm not on duty, I draw and I animate. I am currently working on an animated series based on Bloodline Champions, keep an eye out for it later next month!
